Goodbye tooth...hello Tooth Fairy!

So I lost my first tooth today and Mom said she was going to Super glue it back in my mouth because I am only 4 and she isn't ready for me to grow up yet. Doesn't that sound a bit extreme?!?! I mean, I AM going to be 5 in a month and a half. Geez Mom.

East Coast Trifecta - DE, PA and NYC

Wow! We never knew 10 days could fly by so quickly. There wasn't one minute we weren't doing something, going somewhere, meeting someone or doing catch up homework! It was fun, fun, fun. Seeing Daddy was the best part of all as we hadn't spend time with him for six weeks! The rest of the trip went something like this... Fly into Philadelphia, eat, drive to Delaware and settle in for the night. Next day we had the chance to meet our blog buddies Ava and Mia Cruz face to face for the first time. We had a lovely dinner at their house and hung out with their crazy pugs Olive and Olivia. Monday we went to our old stomping ground - NYC. The subway, pizza at Lombardy's, gelato in Little Italy, Times Square, carousel at Byant Park (even though the silly thing was closed to shoot the Sex in the City movie - who the heck do they think they are?!?!?!), horse and carriage ride through Central Park - all in 24 hours. We never did any of that touristy stuff when we lived there so this was pure fun! Drove home and had a big family reunion dinner with GGmom Dixon and the crew.

Next day was Wednesday and we took a well deserved rest. Caught up on a smidge of playtime in the backyard and did some yoga and homework. Thursday we drove to the Pocono mountains to spend the night with Grandmom Wells. She has a dog, lots of kitty cats and two families of deer that come through her yard to feed several times a day. Feeding them apples and pears that had fallen from the trees was so much fun! She also has a bear that comes around but thankfully, we did not see him. Before we left we carved a pumpkin for her but she said the deer ate that too! On Saturday we got to go to the greatest party in Delaware - the Roat's Annual Fall Festival. There were drums, facepainting, ghost stories and an authentic tee pee with a fire inside! This party was extra cool for two reasons: our friends Ava and Mia were there and our parents were not!!!!! Mommy and Daddy had to go to a wedding so we went home with the Cruz girls that night. As usual we got to bed late but had a wonderful time. Sunday night we found ourselves back at the Cruz house for dinner and were joined by the Roats (of the Roat's Annual Fall Festival). After dinner there was some major karaoke going on. We chose Gwen Stefani and The White Stripes and Daddy even sang some Whitney Houston (we think she may be out of his range a little bit). Once again, we think Ava and Mia might have gotten to bed a bit late for a school night - sorry!

The last day of our trip was quite special. We went to visit our GG mom Wells. She just turned 89. She can't walk, but she still acts like she's 25! We fed the birds with her and then joined her for dinner. Tears were definitely flowing at the end of that visit! So as we said before, a whirlwind tour to be sure...but we had a wonderful time catching up with family and spending time with new friends. Thank you to everyone that made our trip so special - especially Andy, Stephanie, Ava and Mia Cruz and Rich, Sharon, Sebastian and Anna Roat.

Happy Birthday Aunt Linzee!

Our Aunt Linzee is the coolest! She is the greatest vet in the whole wide world and she is the one that kept Rosey for us until we got to Texas. Rosey and Aunt Linz have a real soft spot for each other so we wanted to help Rosey say Happy Birthday because we know she would want to.

Daddy has been out of town for a month which, in our humble opinion, is way too long to go without seeing our daddy. But this weekend he came home and it was heaven! We wrestled, tickled, swam, laughed and Daddy's favorite - ate lots of good food! Now he is gone again for another month and we aren't sure if we are going to make it. We may have to have Mommy send us to Delaware in a special delivery box - overnight of course!

When I got home from school today I decided I was going to make my own clothing line like Daddy. This is my first design. I would describe it as clean but with a bit of a street vibe - notice the stars on the pants and the one blue stripe across the shirt. A lovely weekend

What a fab weekend we had! Saturday we went to see the play Beauty and the Beast. It took place in a small theater where the seats were in a circle and the show was in the middle. It was sooooooo cool! We couldn't take cameras but when the show was over, we got to shake hands with the cast and Belle gave us a hug! Then on Sunday we went to a Butterfly Festival and got to release the butterflies ourselves. Mine got a little squished when Marlena accidentally stepped on it so Mom said I could bring it home. There were crazy painted longhorn statues at the park where the festival was held so we took a picture while sitting on one. Only in Texas I guess.

"I don't have Rabby. That's the problem."

Rabby - a new outfit and 5 sets of ears later he is still hangin' tough. Rabby has been lost in Seattle, lost in Los Angeles and lost in NYC. Thank goodness we always manage to find him because if Rabby isn't around, there's gonna be a problem.

Last days of summer

Summer is not even close to being gone here in Texas but school started and that put a big damper on our summer fun :) Here is some video of our last days of swimming! (unfortunately mom's cell phone doesn't take the greatest videos)

Mommy made all the Awitan girls get together and take this picture for Daddy because he has been on a trip for three weeks and we think he might forget what we look like. So we wanted to remind him that we are worth coming home to! We love and miss you Daddy! Please come home soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First day of school part 2

Today was my first day of school. It was a short day but I had fun and I am excited to go back tomorrow. I think my mom had a hard time though. I saw her crying as she walked out to the car. Doesn't she know that I'll still be here when she gets back??

First day of school

Boy the first day of school starts really early...especially when you are so excited you can't fall asleep until midnight! I am going to crush second grade! (that's my new teacher Mrs. Dawe)

Last day of summer

Slept in late. Grandmom and Pop took us to eat. Pancakes and sausage for breakfast. Aunt April and Aunt Linzee came to hang out. Rosey is back to normal. Found a great lunchbox and decorated it. Painted nails. Had our favorite pasta with fresh mozzarella for dinner while Mom read books. The only thing that could have made the last day of summer better is if Daddy had been here. At least we have the webcam! Love you Daddy!!!!

One more for Daddy

We are sure that Daddy would be sad that he missed having all of his favorite girls in one place - us, Mommy, Lola, Aunt CC and Aunt Joanne - so this one is for him too. Girl Power!

This picture is for Daddy. Tonight was my 2nd grade orientation and he is out of town so he couldn't be with us. It's a bonus that Mommy is in the picture because usually she is the one taking it! Thank goodness Grandmom acually took one that was in focus!

Poor Rosey

The only cool thing about your dog having surgery is having an awesome aunt who is a vet and she lets you watch! Well, we didn't cause Mom and Dad said no but we could have and that would have been outrageous. Thank you Aunt Linzee for taking such good care of Rosarita. She is getting better by the day!

When does art class start?
